Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year to visit Disney World! The weather starts to cool off (cool off is a relative term for Florida!!!), the crowds are generally smaller, the Fall decorations are fantastic, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, and of course, the Food and Wine Festival is here!

The Food and Wine Festival runs through November 23, 2019. You can even
Run while you Wine and Dine during the Disney Wine and Dine Half
Marathon Oct 31-Nov 3, 2019. The Festival actually kicked off on Aug 29
this year and will be the longest it has ever run at 87 days. This just
shows the popularity of this Festival and what it could mean in the
future. There is not an additional cost to enter the Food and Wine
Festival. But, appetizer-size offerings will range from about $4-$8 and
alcoholic offerings usually between $3 and $10 at the kiosks (of course
there will be more expensive offerings).

The Food and Wine Festival is all about EATING and drinking around the
World Showcase Pavilions at EPCOT. There are 11 Countries represented
full time in the World Showcase. They are Mexico, Norway, China,
Germany, Italy, The United States, Japan, Morocco, France, the United
Kingdom and Canada. During the Food and Wine Festival, you will find
other countries and regions have joined in on all the fun. With
additions from Australia, Africa, Belgium (WAFFLES!!!), The Alps (Swiss
inspired cuisine), Brazil, Hawaii, India, Ireland, Isles of the
Caribbean, Spain, and Thailand, you can truly eat and drink around the
world all in one place. There are also specialty shops that range from
different chocolates to beers from across Europe, to The Cheese Studio,
to Mimosas! Please don’t miss The Donut Box. As you can see, I’m all
about SWEETS!!!

But, there is more to do than just eat and drink around the World
Showcase! There are wine/beverage seminars, culinary demonstrations,
food and beverage pairings, hands-on workshops for mixologists, Disney
Du Jour Dance Party, cheese seminars, and even a Junior Chef Kitchen
(gotta throw the kids a bone). Then there is the Eat to the Beat Concert
Series. Here are just some of the artists performing this year (a full
list can be seen through this link:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/entertainment/epcot/food-wine-eat-to-the-beat-concerts/
): Plain White T’s, Tiffany, Mercy Me, Sawyer Brown, Smashmouth and
Everclear. Worried about getting a great seat? No worries, book an Eat
to the Beat dining package! This allows you to eat at one of the 14
fabulous restaurants offered and gets you guaranteed seats to the
concert that evening.

Wondering about Food and Wine Festival merchandise? Please, this is
Disney we are talking about and they capitalize on everything!
Ratatouille fan? Yep, they’ve got you covered. Love Figment? Yes,
Figment is even getting in on the merchandise act at the Food and Wine
Festival. Of course, there is plenty of Mickey and Minnie merchandise for you
to purchase just for the Food and Wine Festival.

There really isn’t a better time than Fall to visit Walt Disney World.
The Food and Wine Festival is just one fantastic reason to get there
before Nov 23 of this year. If you do make it, please eat a Belgium
Waffle just for me!
